Frontier Alliance International's profile

Challenges Faced by Christian Missionaries

Frontier Alliance International is a Christian organization created in response to the tragedy triggered by the Afghan war. Frontier Alliance International delivers medical aid, facilitates reconstruction efforts, and implements life-saving interventions in conflict areas.

Despite the challenges and dangers they encounter, numerous missionaries in Afghanistan are strongly determined to stay in the country and persist in spreading the Gospel. Some of the challenges are:

1. Difference in language
Upon their arrival, the missionaries cannot communicate in the country's language because they don't understand it. They struggle to articulate their thoughts or concepts to those nearby verbally.

2. Change in the environment
Another persistent challenge is issues concerning health, climate, and geography. Missionaries face significant health issues that affect and impede their efforts. In certain instances, these health obstacles can become so severe that ministers are compelled to return to their countries.

3. Limited number of ministers
Perhaps the most significant challenge is the absence of enough ministers to offer assistance. Despite modern missionaries operating in groups, they continue to encounter this difficulty. Ministers would need that moral support from their colleagues when they are down.
